Perfect Pair

Sooooo, this morning on my personal blog Woodgrain & Gold, I gushed over this amazing long skirt and button up combination. I love it. Cute, comfy, and sophisticated all in one. So awesome.

 I wanted to take it a step further and do a little jewelry pairing with each so you can further envision the genius of this mixture.

I matched the pictures to be directly under which outfits I would pair them with. For work I chose the round Seahag & Walrus ($34) because it's clean and simple while still making a bold statement. For casual I picked two bracelets (the feather from Seahag & Walrus- $26 and the geometric from Jesseca Anne- $40) because...well, bracelets are fun and not necessarily too fancy! Then for the more dressy outfit I picked our beautiful crystal necklace from Solis Jewelry ($70). It gives it that extra special touch to make your dressy outfit perfection!

Our Empire | According to Instagram

With the release of Instagram for Android we felt it was appropriate to start an Inside Look With Instagram segment for our little ol' blog. Also I am an Android girl (the one and only one) and am just so stinkin excited to finally have this nifty little app. Enjoy! And happy Wednesday!

They are currently sold in our store but will soon be sold online once our new site is up and running! We are also working on getting a new in-store listening station so you can take a listen before you buy. How cool is that?! Nevertheless, I present you with Melanie's picks for the week! You can't really see the scent of Olo fragrance that is but it's called Valens, and it smells AMAZING. Bikini season is nowhere in sight today with this rainy, dreary day. We decided to celebrate with lots of yummy treats! We like to call this a baked goods buffet, and we are all big fans of baked goods buffets around here. Really any sort of buffet actually. Who's bringing the milk??

Sorry about our hiatus friends! We've been busy doing a lot of neat stuff for the shop, all of which I will update you guys on ASAP! For now I will make up for our absence with the beautiful and totally awesome Lisa. What I love about Lisa is she rocks Icon jewelry EVERYDAY. Seriously. Whether she is all dressed up in a skirt and tights or wearing a comfy sweater she flawlessly incorporates her favorite pieces into every outfit.

Meet Melanie. Melanie owns Icon, and is responsible for hand picking all the beautiful things for sell in our shop. Celebrity alert. I can't get over her skirt, this girl has got some serious style. What's great about this shoot is that we only had her put on a couple extra rings, the rest she was already wearing. I'm telling you guys, we have a hard time staying away from the retail section ourselves! Save us!

Hello! Candace here. We have a lot of pretty stuff here at Icon, so it's hard for me to choose only a few things, but nevertheless I present you with some of my personal favorites. I wear the Foret fragrance by Olo everyday, it smells like a delicious forest. It makes me very happy!

That's what we like to call Kirsten. Mostly because she's a freakin' rock star at everything but also look at this girl! Velvet tights? AWESOME! Look at all that amazing jewelry too. Her necklaces, rings, and even those pretty gold earrings are all currently for sale at Icon!

 Remember when this was our retail section? It's crazy to think about how much we've grown in such a short amount of time. We have you guys to thank for that. Without you our retail section wouldn't be what it is today. For those of you who haven't gotten the chance to see it now, here are some recent pictures!

As many of you may know by now, the retail side of our shop is all beautiful locally made pieces that we put a lot of thought and love into choosing. Somedays when we get in new shipments it's hard to leave without buying it all ourselves.
